Tenovus and LSRNW Studentship

Tenovus Cancer Care and the Life Science Research Network Wales held a joint call for a PhD studentship to work towards the development of new therapeutic treatments for cancer.

Academics from any institution in Wales were invited to submit their project proposals, directly relevant to the discovery and development of new or existing drugs for the treatment of cancer.

Professor Godkin of the School of Medicine at Cardiff University was awarded £90k for the three year PhD studentship. Georgina Mason began her studies in January 2016 and is provided with the following benefits:

  • Opportunity of patient centred experience through one of Tenovus’ Cancer Care’s support services.
