About this event
Working on a paper or a grant application? Or perhaps you are in the process of writing up your thesis? Join our writing retreat for the day, where you will be guided through techniques and exercises to maximise your productivity while avoiding burnout.
Designed to support academic writing, the retreat is free and open to anyone within life sciences at a Welsh HEI. If you have attended before, you are more than welcome to join again. There is no limit to the number of times you can attend. Regularly joining these events can help you accurately estimate your writing productivity, which in turn will help you manage your time and set realistic writing goals.
With thanks to Ser Cymru funding the LSRNW network it is possible to offer this event for free.
The structured writing retreat format will involve exercises to overcome "blank page panic" and writer's block, as well as quiet writing time. Periods of writing are broken up with extended breaks to maintain productivity and reduce burnout. Cameras and mics are switched off during writing time.
Spaces are limited, so please register in advance. If you do not receive a confirmation email please get in touch with us.
