Spring Writing Retreat

The LSRNW Writers’ Retreat gives participants the opportunity to devote a whole day to writing in a quiet, structured, and supportive atmosphere. This free virtual event will be held on Monday April 19th, from 9.45am.

The retreat is facilitated by Dr Pam Lock, a lecturer from the English Department at University of Bristol who has been running these retreats in person and online since 2014. The feedback from these sessions is always resoundingly positive and so I highly encourage you to sign up. This workshop is open to all Life Sciences research staff & final year PhD students at any Welsh HEI.

We have limited places, so please sign up ASAP to avoid disappointment. There will be a waiting list for those who don’t get a space initially.

LSRNW Spring Networking Event

We are excited to launch our first virtual networking event on Tuesday April 27th, from 9.45am.

This free event is open to researchers in the life sciences from anywhere in Wales, including those in HEIs, the NHS, and in private companies.

The event is particularly recommended for researchers looking to raise their research profile for major funding applications in the next 12 to 18 months, and for industry and biotech partners* who are looking for academic collaborations.

When registering, you will be asked for an outline of your research interests, so that we can match you with appropriate partners for speed networking sessions. During the event, you will be invited to identify researchers with whom you would like more time in our afternoon Sandpit sessions.

Places are limited, so please register early to avoid disappointment.

*the LSRNW can provide relevant guidance and support on intellectual property for any academia/industrial partnerships formed as a result of this event.
